citizen science: cornwall park bird survey

Would you like to participate in some citizen science?

Every autumn we need your help to build a record of the bird life in Cornwall Park. We can use this information as an indicator to see how the whole ecosystem is doing.

Drop by Huia Lodge Discovery Hub during the survey period to collect a Cornwall Park bird survey, and count our bird life for one hour.

Return your survey to Huia Lodge and enter the draw to win a birds prize pack.

This activity is suitable for all ages, though younger children may need assistance from an adult.

The 2026 Bird Survey has finished- thanks so much for your help! If you've still got your survey at home please send it in so we can add the data to our analysis. You can drop it into Huia Lodge or email info@cornwallpark.co.nz

Congratulations to G.Fisher winner of the Bird Survey Prize Draw for 2026.
